Guo Shuqing Meets with Matan Vilnai, Ambassador of Israel to China

On Dec. 7th, Guo Shuqing, Deputy Party Secretary of CPC Shandong Provincial Committee and Governor of Shandong Province, met with Matan Vilnai, Ambassador of Israel to China and his party in Jinan. Guo Shuqing introduced to the guests about the cooperation results achieved by the delegation of People’s Government of Shandong Province while visiting Israel a few days ago. He said, “During the visit to Israel, Shandong and Israel signed a number of cooperation agreements in agriculture, health care, science and technology, economy and trade, etc., which opened up a new field for bilateral friendly cooperation. Shandong has strong economic complementarity and great cooperation potential with Israel. The two sides are hoped to further strengthen communication and consultation so as to promote the cooperation in agricultural technology, water resources utilization, sanitation and health and other aspects to a new level, further enlarge cooperation in economy and trade, culture, tourism, scientific research and training, and expand areas of cooperation to achieve more fruitful results.”. Meanwhile, Guo thanked the ambassador for his contribution to promote the cooperation between Shandong and Israel over his term and hoped that the ambassador will continue to pay attention to Shandong and support the bilateral exchanges and cooperation as always. Matan indicated that Embassy of Israel in China will enhance communication and exchange with Shandong, improve the cooperation mechanism, promote bilateral cooperation in various areas to score new achievements constantly, and thanked Shandong for staunch support provided during his term. He will continue to contribute his efforts to promote Shandong-Israel exchanges and cooperation . After the meeting, Xia Geng, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, and Matan signed Minutes of Meeting between Shandong Provincial People’s Government and Embassy of the State of Israel to the People's Republic of China. Wang Hua, Secretary-General of Shandong Provincial People’s Government hosted the signing ceremony. She Chunming, Director of Department of Commerce of Shandong Province, and other heads of Shandong provincial departments participates in related activities.
